Dr. David Reed
Faculty Director of the Interdisciplinary Telecom Program
Dr. David Reed is currently the Faculty Director of the Interdisciplinary Telecom Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to joining the University of Colorado, Dr. Reed was a senior executive at Cable Television Laboratories. As CableLabs’ Chief Strategy Officer, he led large R&D projects covering a wide range of technologies relevant to the cable industry such as application platforms, business services, voice-over-IP, and broadband delivery systems. Dr. Reed also has been a Telecommunications Policy Analyst in the Office of Plans and Policy at the Federal Communications Commission where he worked on cable-telco competition, personal communications services (PCS), and spectrum auction policies.
Dr. Reed has authored a book on residential fiber optic networks, and is a widely published author in telecommunications journals, books, and magazines. He has been a contributor of interdisciplinary analyses that played key roles in defining U.S. policy debates on PCS spectrum allocation and local access competition.

Elizabeth earned a BA in Political Science from the University of North Florida, and joined ITP in 2007 after positions with The Aspen Institute and The Carlyle Group, both in Washington D.C. She has extensive experience in working with high-level corporate executives in the telecommunications, media and financial industries, as well as governmental officials. Elizabeth is one of ITP's strategic architects, and is the primary interface for student admissions, student advising, faculty support, and administrative supervision. She is also an industry liaison for ITP.

ITP Support Specialist
Erica Chen is the ITP Support Specialist at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She graduated from CU Boulder in May 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Dance. Since graduating, Erica has worked in the technology industry such as Google and IBM. Her responsibilities included training and managing tech support staff for Apple’s iOS products, updating and designing sections of IBM’s internal website, evaluating data to identify trends, producing digital coupon campaigns, improving process effectiveness and efficiencies.
Her role as the ITP Support Specialist will include graduate course scheduling, updating the ITP website, and promoting awareness of program opportunities.
ITP Corporate Outreach Manager
Terese Manley joined ITP in 2015 as a Corporate Outreach Manager. She is a corporate leader with a dynamic career in telecom engineering, sales, marketing and product development. Terese earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has held Management and Solutions Engineer positions at Sprint Corporation and NYNEX. She spent most of her career at Sprint, managing technical solutions for Fortune 100 & 500 companies, Government and Education, in addition to developing engineering talent for industry. Terese has expertise in Vendor Relations, Strategic Planning and Technical leadership and highly regarded for promoting a collaborative team in a rapidly changing and multi-cultural environment. Her objective in ITP is to build strong relations with national and local corporations and use her passion to positively impact growth in ITP and assist students in their career aspirations.
